i Giocosi
My greatest wish used to be to play world music in addition to classical music. I first encountered klezmer in Germany. This music, which was completely unfamiliar to me, immediately captivated me. I also discovered the spirited brass bands of the Balkans and samba. I was able to realize all of this with I Giocosi. I Giocosi is derived from Italian and means cheerful and playful. This name says it all for us.
Ako Karim, Clarinet and Saxophone

He has been working for many years as a freelance artist in various orchestras, ensembles, and theater and music projects in Germany and Europe.

After many performances, the desire to release their own album grew.
The first CD, “Dasmal Harir,” was released in 2017. With jazz, folklore, klezmer, and Latin, it takes listeners on a musical journey from the Balkans to the Orient to South America.
In 2021, we released the CD “Hanar,” which was named Best World Music Album at the 39th German Rock and Pop Awards.
