Musician and music teacher for clarinet & saxophone
Bachelor of Music & Master of Music
I was born in Suleimania, Kurdistan. In 1995, I fled to Germany, where I now live. It has become my home. In 1998, I began studying music with Wolfram Rocke, majoring in clarinet at the Wiesbaden Academy of Music. In 2003, I graduated as a state-certified music teacher. Since 2000, I have been working as a musician and music teacher for clarinet and saxophone at various music and regular schools.
My basic studies were followed by regular concert and chamber music activities throughout Germany and Europe. In 2008, I earned my Bachelor of Music degree from the Arnhem-Zwolle Conservatory in the Netherlands under Frans Dejon. I completed my Master of Music degree in 2012 under Eddy Vanoosthuyse at the University of Science and Arts in Leuven, Belgium. At the same time, I took conducting courses with Edmond Saveniers over several years.
Since beginning my studies, I have taught clarinet and saxophone at various music schools in the Rhine-Main area and participated in interactive orchestra and theater projects as a musician and arranger. My repertoire ranges from classical music to klezmer, oriental, Balkan, and jazz.
